On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram,” a grand singing programme was organized on 7th November 2025 at Adhiveshan Bhawan, Old Secretariat, near Irrigation Department. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries — Dr. B. Rajendra (Chief Secretary of Bihar), Shri K. Senthil Kumar (Additional Chief Secretary), and Shri Pratyay Amrit (Development Commissioner, Bihar) — whose participation added great significance to the occasion.
The programme commenced at 9:00 a.m. and continued for about 40 minutes. It began with the soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram” by the participants, followed by enlightening addresses by the guests. They spoke about the timeless essence of “Vande Mataram” and its pivotal role in uniting the nation during India’s struggle for independence.
As part of the celebration, three short films related to “Vande Mataram” were screened — two films of approximately 15 minutes each, and one film lasting 4 minutes and 18 seconds. The visual presentations effectively conveyed the depth of emotion and devotion embedded in the national song.
NSS volunteers from Patna Women’s College actively participated in the event and contributed to its smooth conduct. Their dedication, discipline, and enthusiasm reflected the spirit of unity and nationalism that the occasion symbolized.
The event concluded with a collective rendition of “Vande Mataram,” filling the hall with pride, energy, and patriotism. The dignitaries appreciated the contribution of NSS volunteers and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in promoting national integrity among youth.
