The Department of Social Work, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) observed the National Anti-Ragging Day on 12th August, 2025 marking the beginning of Anti-Ragging Week (12th -18th August,2025) under the UGC guidelines.
On 12.08.25 the students were shown short documentaries highlighting the issue of ragging and its consequences. They were made aware about the anti-ragging committees and helpline numbers.
On 13.08.25 the department with the objective of raising awareness and instilling the feeling of empathy and sensitivity among the students organized various engaging competition comprising of poster making competition, slogan making competition, essay writing, logo making competition and a quiz on the theme of “ANTI-RAGGING”.
On 14.08.25 the students of semester I filled the online Anti-Ragging Affidavit successfully. They were provided with the necessary details about anti-ragging committees and were made aware about its mechanism.
