The Department of Mass Communication at Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) ushered in its new academic session with a vibrant Freshers’ Welcome program, “Aaghaz’’ on the theme ‘Karwaan’. The celebration marked the beginning of an exciting journey for the budding media professionals of the department.
Themed around new beginnings and togetherness, the event showcased creativity, enthusiasm, and the spirit of bonding between seniors and juniors. It featured a variety of performances, including a soulful singing presentation, a stirring poem on Naari Shakti, a graceful solo dance, and an engaging Bollywood character-guessing game. The evening concluded with a lively group dance that filled the atmosphere with energy and applause.
The occasion was graced by Dr. Brahma Nand, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi, and Mr. Rajeev Ranjan, Department of Zoology, whose words of encouragement motivated the students. Head of Department, Miss Roma, extended a warm welcome to the freshers, urging them to embrace creativity, passion, and communication as guiding values in their media journey.
A key highlight of the evening was the Miss Fresher Contest, celebrating confidence and charm. Anjali was crowned Miss Fresher 2025 for her spontaneity and graceful presence. The entire program was moderated by Manali and Priyani and vote of thanks by Tannu Priya of final year.
With Aaghaz the department not only welcomed its new batch but also set the stage for a year of shared learning, creativity, and stories waiting to unfold.
