Human Chain Formation

Human Chain Formation

On the eve of World Mental Health Day, the NSS Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, Patna Women’s College, organized a Human Chain Formation outside the*college gate on 8/10/2025 to spread awareness about the importance of mental health and emotional well-being in today’s fast-paced world.

The event aimed to highlight the message that mental health matters just as much as physical health and to encourage the community to speak openly about mental wellness, compassion, and support. With strong enthusiasm and unity, the NSS volunteers and students of the Psychology Department formed a symbolic chain of solidarity, representing collective strength, empathy, and hope for a mentally healthier society.

The programme witnessed the gracious presence of the teachers of the Department of Psychology, along with the NSS Programme Officers, Dr. Jyoti Chandra and Dr. Brahmanand, whose guidance and motivation inspired the participants throughout the activity. Their encouraging words emphasized the need to promote awareness, understanding, and acceptance surrounding mental health issues.

The event not only spread a powerful message among passers-by and students but also strengthened the bond of teamwork and social responsibility among volunteers. It served as a gentle reminder that a mindful and compassionate community begins with awareness and unity.
