The Department of Computer science and Applications organized an interactive session on “Igniting Entrepreneurial Mindsets” on Wednesday, 28th January 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. at Mother Veronica Excellence and Innovation Centre (MVEIC) Hall. The resource person was Mr. Abhishek Ranjan, Innovation Officer, Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, Govt. of India at AICTE, New Delhi. He is a learned person and always see opportunities where others see problems. The main objective of this session was highlighting the importance of innovation, creativity, and risk-taking in today’s competitive environment. The event began with a welcome address by Mr. Alok John, Director, MVEIC Cell. He introduced the guest speaker before the audience. Dr. Bhawna Sinha, Dean, faculty of IT and Head, Department of Computer Applications welcomed the resource person by presenting a plant sapling as a token of appreciation. Mr. Abhishek Ranjan emphasized India’s strong innovation ecosystem supported by incubation centres, mentors, faculty, and government initiatives such as NISP, Smart India Hackathon, IIC, and YUVA. He highlighted Bihar’s growing innovation support, entrepreneurship training programs, and funding opportunities, along with key focus sectors like healthcare, agriculture, tourism, sports, and sanitation, and noted India’s improving global innovation ranking and initiatives such as Vocal for Local and women-led innovation programs. Around 100 participants comprising students of MCA and entrepreneurial cell along with faculty members attended this session. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, motivating students to convert ideas into successful ventures with institutional and government support. The session was concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Bhawna Sinha, Dean, faculty of IT and Head, Department of Computer Applications, who appreciated the informative and interactive session delivered by the resource person. The event was supported by all the faculty members of the Department.
