International Craft Day 2025

On the occasion of International Craft Day, the Srijan Club, in collaboration with the Department of Fashion Designing, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), organized a Paper Bag Designing Competition on October 14, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The theme of the event was “Purane Khagaz Naye Rang”, celebrating creativity, sustainability, and environmental consciousness. A total of 60 enthusiastic members of the Srijan Club participated in the competition, designing and decorating paper bags that beautifully reflected their artistic imagination and innovative ideas.

The esteemed panel of judges comprised Ms. Susmeeta, Coordinator, PGDCA and Assistant Professor, Department of MCA; Dr. Runa, Assistant Professor, Department of English Communication and Media; and Ms. Vandana Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Fashion Designing, Patna Women’s College. They appreciated all the participants for their creativity and thoughtful designs.
The winners of the competition were as follows: First Position was secured by Niharika Kumar, a student of Semester I, Department of Mathematics. Second Position was jointly bagged by Naysha and Astha, both from Semester I, Department of Fashion Designing.
Third Position was jointly won by Kajal Kumari from Semester I, Department of Geography and Vedika from Semester I, Department of Fashion Designing.

The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of Ms. Geetanjali Choudhary, Club Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Department of Fashion Designing, and Dr. Shemushi Madhu, Head, Department of Fashion Designing. The presence and support of faculty members Ms. Asha Pandey, Dr. Purnima Roy, and all the active members of the Srijan Club contributed to the smooth and vibrant execution of the event.
