On the occasion of National Youth Day, observed on 12 January, the Department of Social Work, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), under the P.A.C.E. Programme, organized a celebration on 15 January 2026 on the theme “Ignite the Self, Impact the World.” The programme began with a documentary screening on the life and ideals of Swami Vivekananda, inspiring students to reflect on self-awareness, discipline, and social responsibility.This was followed by a speech competition with five groups, where students shared views on youth empowerment, leadership, self-development, and nation-building. The event helped students enhance confidence, public speaking skills, and understanding of their role in society. Group 3 won first prize, followed by Group 1 in second place and Group 5 in third place.
The programme was guided and judged by Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head, Department of Social Work, along with the faculty members Sister Sanjana A.C., Ms. Amrita Ashish, and Dr. Chandramani Piyush,
The whole event was moderated by Preety Singh, student Semester IV .
