On the Eve of World AIDS Day, the NSS Unit of Patna Women’s College organized a Poster Making Competition to deepen awareness about HIV/AIDS and emphasize the global call for action . A total of 12 groups comprising 31 participants took part in the event with enthusiasm, showing their creativity and social consciousness to the cause through impactful artwork.
Participants gathered at the venue where the theme—“Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response”—was announced. Guided by this theme, students illustrated ideas focusing on resilience, prevention, community support, responsible behaviour, and the need to rebuild and strengthen the global AIDS response. NSS volunteers ensured smooth coordination and maintained discipline throughout the event.
The posters were evaluated by the esteemed judges:
Mr. R N Roy Majumdar, Department of Chemistry and Dr. Supriya, Department of Clinical and Nutritional Dietetics.
They assessed the entries based on creativity, clarity, message strength, and relevance to the theme.
Results of the Competition:
First Position: Group 11 ( Khushi Raj, Rafia Jamal, Vaishnavi, Archana Anchal)
Second Position: Group 7( Vaidehee, Khushboo Kumari, Shalini Kumari, Shrinidhi*)
Third Position: Group 12
(Kriti Verma, Aakansha Shandilya, Taruna Tejaswini) .
The competition offered students a chance to articulate what this year’s AIDS Day message meant to them, helping build responsibility, empathy, and knowledge. The event successfully embodied the NSS ideals of social dedication and united action.
