The Department of Botany and Microbiology, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), jointly organized “SurvivAI: Startup Idea Presentation” under Vigyan Utsav 2026 on the theme “Darwin’s Theory: Survival of the Smartest.” The event was designed as a startup-focused competition to cultivate innovation, entrepreneurial vision, and strategic thinking among students. The competition provided a vibrant platform for participants to present forward-looking startup ideas addressing contemporary social, environmental, and technological challenges. A total of 11 entries were showcased, reflecting adaptability, scientific understanding, and sustainable business approaches. The ideas were evaluated on originality, feasibility, innovation, scalability, and practical applicability. The programme was judged by Mr. Amit Singh, Founder and CEO, Logic Boots Pvt. Limited, and Mr. Anjesh Kumar, Owner, Cafe Hideout, who brought valuable industry insights and entrepreneurial expertise to the event. Their evaluation brought practical relevance and professional depth to the competition. During their interaction with the participants, they shared insights from their entrepreneurial journeys, discussed the realities of building and sustaining startups, and emphasized the importance of resilience, adaptability, market awareness, and strategic execution. They appreciated the creativity and research orientation demonstrated by the students and encouraged them to refine their concepts into impactful and sustainable ventures. In their address, they highlighted the significance of resilience, smart innovation, and adaptability in today’s competitive ecosystem, and encouraged students to translate their ideas into viable ventures. The session was conducted in a systematic and well-coordinated manner, anchored by Palak Sinha and Priya Singh, and concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Laiba Ayubi. The successful organization of “SurvivAI” reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to fostering innovation, strengthening industry-academia engagement, and preparing students to emerge as future entrepreneurs and leaders.
