The Department of Physics, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, successfully commenced the 10-day Summer School from 25th May – 6th June 2026 on “The Curious World of Special Relativity” with great enthusiasm and academic zeal. The inaugural session was graced by the invited speaker, Prof. (Dr.) Dolly Sinha, Former Pro- Vice Chancellor, PU and LNMU, Retd. Professor of Physics, Patna University. She delivered an engaging and enlightening lecture on the topic “Mysteries of the Universe: An Overview” through Zoom Platform.
Prof. Sinha introduced the participants to the fascinating and thought-provoking aspects of the universe, sparking curiosity and scientific interest among the students. The talk was filled with excitement and provided valuable insights into the wonders and mysteries of the cosmos.
A total of 47 students actively participated in the first day of the summer school. Dr. Kavita Verma , Head, Department of Physics and Mr. Dharmendra Rai, Asst. Prof. , Department of Physics were present in the session which was moderated by Dr. Riekshika Sanwari, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics. It marked a promising beginning for the upcoming lectures.
