On August 19th, 2026 Department of Physics, Patna women’s college (Autonomous) Patna University, started a 3 day COSMOS QUEST 3.0 on the occasion of National Space Day from 19th – 22nd August 2026. The theme for the event is “India’s space journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047”. As part of the programme, an educational visit to Science City, Rajendra Nagar, was conducted.
All the students of UG and PG of Physics Department had opportunity to explore various fascinating science and physics-based exhibits. The visit included interesting demonstrations such as Harmonic Strings, Wonder and Amazement, Zoetrope, Levitating Water, Water Waves, and Standing Waves. These demonstrations presented scientific concepts in a simple, interactive, and engaging manner, making the experience both informative and enjoyable. The visit encouraged students to learn through observation and practical demonstrations while discovering the fascinating applications of science in everyday life.
All the faculty members of the department accompanied the students for the visit.
