The Yuva Aapda Mitra Scheme (YAMS) Camp, conducted by the 01 Bihar Naval Unit NCC in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA), provided comprehensive training in disaster management. The programme included both theoretical and practical sessions, along with mock drills to simulate real-life emergency situations.
LFC Divya Sinha, FC Gyanvi, and FC Vidhya from Patna Women’s College actively participated in the camp. During the training, LFC Divya Sinha was entrusted with the responsibility of Camp Senior and also served as the Incident Commander during the earthquake mock drill, demonstrating strong leadership and decision-making skills. FC Gyanvi secured 1st position in the final examination conducted at the end of the course among all participants and was awarded a medal by the Camp Commandant for her exemplary performance.
Additionally, LFC Divya Sinha and FC Gyanvi served as anchors for the Cultural Night of the camp and were also recognized for their outstanding anchoring.
The camp significantly enhanced the cadets’ preparedness, leadership, and disaster management skills, reflecting the high standard of training and active participation of Patna Women’s College in NCC activities.
