On July 25, 2025, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) successfully concluded a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Innovation & Entrepreneurship from 21st to 25th July 2025. Sponsored by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and AICTE, the FDP aimed to equip faculty from BBA, BCA, MCA, and Management institutions with tools to build innovation and incubation ecosystems. Patna Women’s College was the only institution from Bihar, and among just ten across India, chosen to host this prestigious programme. The final day featured sessions by Shri Ranjan Mistry, Indian Social Entrepreneur, rapporteur for this session was Ms. Deepa Sonal, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications and Shri Sanjay Kumar, CEO of the Innovation and Incubation Hub, MNIT Foundation, MNNIT Allahabad, rapporteur for this session was Ms. Kumari Priya, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration. Sessions throughout the FDP were interactive, with group work and practical planning. The valedictory session was graced by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Girish Kumar Choudhary (Chief Guest), and Prof. A.K. Nayak (Guest of Honour), who praised the initiative. The FDP recommendations were presented by Dr. Pallawi Ambreesh Kumar, Head, BBA Department and Co-Coordinator, highlighting insights gained and proposed steps for implementation by participating institutions. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Bhawna Sinha, Dean, Faculty of Information Technology and FDP Coordinator. The event was successfully moderated by Ms. Manisha Prasad, Head, Department of Computer Applications. Organised by the departments of BBA, BCA, and MCA, this FDP marks a vital stride toward fostering innovation-led education in Bihar and beyond.
