Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) Patna University celebrated the World Entrepreneurs Day with a Student Development Programme on August 21, 2024. The event titled, “Three Magic Potions for a Successful Entrepreneur,” took place at the Mother Veronica Excellence and Innovation Centre. The esteemed resource person for the programme was Shri Yateen Kumar Suman, a distinguished alum of IIT Dhanbad and ISB Hyderabad, Founder of Suman’s Consulting and Advaya Experts, and Managing Trustee of Baijnath Foundation. Shri Suman brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the session, making it both enriching and inspiring for the students. The event commenced with a warm welcome, where a plant sapling was presented to the guest as a symbol of growth and sustainability. Following this, Mr. Alok John, Dean of National and International Collaborations and Consultancy Services, addressed the gathering and emphasized that entrepreneurial potential exists within everyone. Shri Yateen Kumar Suman then led a captivating session, during which he shared key insights into entrepreneurship. He emphasized that “Entrepreneurship is all about passion and time-management” and highlighted the importance of developing habits that shape one’s character. He also discussed significant theories, including Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, the Pareto Principle, and the ABCDE Method, commonly used in the corporate world. The session was highly interactive, with Shri Suman engaging with students, answering their questions, and fostering an informative and lively discussion. His practical advice and relatable anecdotes left a lasting impact on the participants. The programme was meticulously coordinated under the guidance of Mr. Alok John. Mariyum Fatima, Vice-Premier of the Student Council 2024-25, moderated the event, while Shrishti Tiwari, Premier of the Student Council 2024-25, delivered the Vote of Thanks. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across various departments including AMM, Commerce, BBA, and Economics.
