The Department of Fashion Designing at Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) Patna University hosted a Guest Lecture on September 7, 2024, at the Mother Veronica Excellence & Innovation Centre as part of the Student Development Programme. The lecture, titled “Exploring Career Pathways in Fashion Designing: Opportunities, Innovation, and Industry Demand”, was delivered by Dr. Rishikesh Kumar, Assistant Professor at NIFT, Patna.The session opened with a welcome address by Mr. Alok John, Dean, National and International Collaborations and Consultancy Services at Patna Women’s College. Dr. Kumar provided an insightful overview of the fashion designing industry, emphasizing the vast career opportunities, innovative advancements, and industry demands shaping the field. Students gained a deeper understanding of the various career paths and essential skills necessary for success in the fashion industry. The programme was organized by Dr. Shemushi Madhu, Head, Department of Fashion Designing and was coordinated by Ms. Geetanjali Choudhary, it was attended by all the faculty members, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Departmentof Fashion Designing. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Shemushi Madhu.
