Workshop on “GST Return Filing”

The Department of Commerce Professional, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), organised a Workshop on “GST Return Filing” on 16th September 2025 at 11:00 AM in MVEIC hall for the students of Semester- III and V of B.Com Hons. (Commerce Professional).
The session commenced with felicitation of the Resource Person CA Amit Kumar with a plant sapling by CS Shweta Shah, Coordinator, Department of Commerce Professional. The session was organized to help participants gain practical knowledge of Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance, focusing on return filing procedures, common errors, and compliance strategies.
The workshop witnessed active participation from students eager to understand the intricacies of GST. CA Amit Kumar provided detailed insights on:
• Types of GST returns and their due dates
• Step-by-step process of online return filing
• Input tax credit reconciliation
• Avoiding penalties and ensuring compliance

Through live demonstrations and case studies, participants gained hands-on exposure to filing GST returns, making the session highly interactive and practical.
The session concluded with a Q&A round, where participants clarified their doubts. The workshop was moderated by Ms. Priya Kumari and a vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Ananya Raj, both students of Semester-V.
