On the occasion of World Ozone Day, The ECO Task Force of Patna Women’s College organized a solemn Oath-Taking Ceremony on 16.09.2025 to induct 250 new student members into its fold, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.
The ceremony was graced by Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice Principal, who administered the oath. In her address, she emphasized the crucial role of students in protecting Mother Earth and reminded them of their duties as responsible citizens towards environmental conservation.
The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Shobha Shrivastava, Vice President of the ECO Task Force and Dean, Faculty of Science, who inspired the new members by highlighting their responsibility to work collectively for a greener and healthier planet.
Holding soil in their hands as a symbol of their bond with nature, the students confidently pledged their dedicated service for the cause of environmental protection.
The ceremony was meticulously coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Secretary of the ECO Task Force, and Sister M. Luveena A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology. The program was smoothly conducted with Ms. Shailja Gautam as the compère, and concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Muskan Bharti.
The presence of faculty members and support staffs of the department of Zoology added to the solemnity and encouragement of the occasion. The event stood as a testimony to Patna Women’s College’s ongoing efforts to empower students to take proactive steps in the protection of the environment.
