Statistical Package for the Social Sciences

On 11th September 2025 – A training program on SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) was successfully conducted for Semester 5 students of the Department of Sociology at the Research Centre, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University. The program aimed to enhance student’s understanding of statistical tools commonly used in social science research and demonstrate their practical application in the implementation of research projects.
The sessions provided participants with comprehensive insights into various statistical techniques and their relevance to research methodology. The program was organized under the guidance and leadership of Dr. Sr. Jincy AC, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, and was delivered by faculty members from the Department of Statistics, who provided expert training to help students gain deeper knowledge of statistical tools and understand how these tools can strengthen their research work.
The training program was well-received and offered students an excellent opportunity to expand their analytical skills and improve the quality of their research papers through the use of advanced statistical methods.
