The Department of Physics, Patna Women’s College, successfully organized Cosmos Quest 2025, a vibrant three-day academic and co-curricular event aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and creativity among students. The event commenced with great enthusiasm on 11.09.2025 featuring a Model Making Competition judged by Dr. Rabindra Nath Roy Mazumdar & Dr. Preeti Swarupa and a Slogan Writing Competition judged by Dr. Urvashi Sinha and Dr. Moon. Students showcased their innovative models and creative slogans, reflecting their scientific temperament and awareness of contemporary issues. On 12.09.2025, participants embarked on an Educational trip cum Outreach Programme to the Shri Krishna Science Centre, Patna, where they engaged with interactive exhibits and gained valuable insights into advancements in science and technology. The final day, 13.09.2025, witnessed a series of intellectually stimulating events. A Cosmos Quest Quiz Competition was organized for students of the Government Boys’ Senior Secondary School, Rajendra Nagar encouraging teamwork and scientific inquiry judged by Dr. Niti Yashvardhini and Mr. Rajeev Ranjan. Simultaneously, an Extempore Competition was conducted, testing students’ spontaneity, critical thinking, and expression judged by Dr. Nikhila Narayan and Dr. Sapna Kumari. The event concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony, graced by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi AC, Principal, Patna Women’s College, who encouraged the students with her inspiring words. She congratulated the winners and participants, highlighting the importance of curiosity, innovation, and perseverance in the pursuit of knowledge. Cash Prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners of all competitions, marking a memorable conclusion to Cosmos Quest 2025. A total of 87 students participated in all the events attending from Magadh Mahila College, Patna Women’s College, Govt Boys Senior Secondary School. The event was sponsored by Aprajit Aryavart Foundation, Bihar Scientific Corporation and Somen 19 Restaurant.
The three-day celebration of science and creativity was successfully done under the guidance of Dr. Shobha Shrivastava, Dean Faculty of Sciences, Head, Department of Zoology, Dr. Kavita Verma, Head, Department of Physics, and all the faculty members of the Department of Physics. It motivated students to expand their horizons but also reaffirmed Patna Women’s College’s commitment to nurturing young minds through experiential and participatory learning.
