Department of Botany organised Skit Competition on the topic “Role of Gender dynamics in the Development of Viksit Bharat” on 18th of September. The skit was aimed to highlight the importance of gender dynamics in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat. Participants showcased skits depicting how gender equality can be attained at root level, every educated family can understand and support gender equality. Not only women empowerment but inclusion of transgenders may also contribute in the development. First prize was bagged by Anushka and group who enacted a scene of typical Bihari marriage, while Group of Komal showed requirement of equality among male, female and transgender employees got 2nd prize. Group of Jyotsana won 3rd prize which highlighted the stereotyping behaviour among male and female siblings. Dr Manjula Sushila, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi and Dr Sumeet Ranjan, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, Patna Women’s College, were esteemed judges. The program started with enlightening words of Dr Pinky Prasad, Head, Dept. of Botany. The program was anchored by Palak and Laiba of 5th Semester while Vote of thanks was proposed by Prasansha of Semester I. The program was meticulously coordinated by Dr Anjana Verma, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Botany. Enthusiastic participation and enriching content of skits were enjoyed by the viewers.
