On the occasion of NSS Day, NSS unit of Patna Women’s College organized an Eye Check-up Camp on 24th september 2025 in collaboration with Shankar Jyoti Netralaya, Patna. Programme was conducted to spread awareness about eye health and provide necessary check-ups to students, teaching and non-teaching staff.
The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. Brahma Nand, NSS Programme Officer, who highlighted the significance of NSS Day and the college’s continuous efforts in serving society through such initiatives. This was followed by an insightful address by Dr. Samiksha, who emphasized the importance of regular eye care, preventive measures, and early diagnosis in maintaining good vision.
A team of expert ophthalmologists and paramedical staff from Shankar Jyoti Netralaya carried out eye examinations, vision tests, and consultations. More than 250 beneficiaries availed themselves of the services, including students, teaching and non-teaching staff for free health check-ups, counselling sessions and awareness programmes.
The volunteers of NSS actively assisted in registration, guiding the participants, and ensuring the smooth conduct of the camp that truly reflecting the motto of NSS – ‘Not Me, But You.’
