An insightful Guest Lecture
The ECO Task Force of Patna Women’s College, in collaboration with the Department of Zoology, organized an insightful Guest Lecture on “A Bird’s Eye View of Biodiversity with Special Reference to Bihar.” on 14.10.2025.
The session was delivered by Col. Amit Sinha (Retd.), Bihar State Coordinator, Indian Bird Conservation Network (IBCN), who highlighted the alarming decline of species like the Gangetic Dolphin, Vultures, Wetland birds, etc. and stressed the need for urgent conservation action.
More than 200 students attended the lecture and were inspired to become green ambassadors and actively contribute to biodiversity preservation. The event concluded with an interactive session filled with ideas and enthusiasm for protecting wildlife.
The event was guided by Dr. Shobha Srivastava, Dean, Faculty of Science and Head, Department of Zoology and coordinated by Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Secretary, ECO Task Force, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University. All the teachers of the Department of Zoology were also present on the occasion.
