On 10 January 2026, the Department of Social Work, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, under the P.A.C.E. (Personal Advancement and Career Enhancement) Programme, organized an awareness session on Health, Hygiene, and Sanitation at Adalat Ganj, the adopted slum. The session focused on sensitizing the community—especially women—about personal hygiene, safe drinking water, proper waste disposal, and healthy practices to prevent diseases and enhance quality of life. Through active participation and interaction with community members, students gained hands-on experience in community-based health education, improved their communication and interpersonal skills, developed a deeper understanding of health and sanitation challenges at the grassroots level, and learned to apply social work concepts in real-life settings. The programme was effectively coordinated by Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head, Department of Social Work, and Sister Sanjana A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work.
