The Department of Botany, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) organized a guest lecture on “Counselling and Legal Awareness” on 15 January 2025 at 12:00 noon for the students of the Botany Department.
The programme began with a warm welcome by Dr. Hena Naz ,Assistant Professor, Department of Botany. Dr. Pinky Prasad, Head department of Botany was virtually present during the guest lecture. The guest lecture was delivered by the resource person Ms. Rekha Kumari, counsellor and legal advisor, Patna high court who discussed the significance of counselling for mental well-being, stress management, and emotional balance. She also created awareness about basic legal rights, personal safety, and the importance of being legally informed in today’s society. The session was interactive, and students actively participated by asking questions and sharing their thoughts.
The guest lecture was graced by the presence of Dr. Urvashi Sinha, Dr. Piyush Kumar Rai , and Dr. Anjana Verma. Assistant professor , Department of Botany, Patna Women’s College.
The entire session was moderated by Ms. Arsa Siddique, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Palak.
Overall, the guest lecture was informative and beneficial. It helped students gain awareness, confidence, and practical knowledge related to counselling support and legal aspects essential for everyday life.
