The Department of Zoology, Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, PU, celebrated International Women’s Day – Ojaswini 2026 on 6th March, 2026 with great enthusiasm and creativity.
To mark the occasion and promote awareness about gender inclusivity and women’s empowerment, various competitions such as Pot Painting, Slogan Writing, and Poster Making were organized. The events encouraged students to express their thoughts on women’s strength, equality, and social awareness through art and words.
The competitions were judged by Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Sister Luveena AC, Dr. Aprajita, Sister Andrade Monica AC, Dr. Sapna Kumari, and Ms. Himali Raj.
In the Poster Making Competition, the winners were :
1st Prize – Sanya and Group, 2nd Prize – Aishwarya and Group, and
3rd Prize – Payal Raj Singh and Group from Sem-VI.
In the Pot Painting Competition, Preety Singh and Group secured the 1st Prize, followed by Muskaan Singh and Group (UG Sem II) with the 2nd Prize, and Anaya Sharma (PG Sem II) with the 3rd Prize.
In the Slogan Writing Competition, students of Sem IV Amrit Varsha (1st), Bhuvi Kumari (2nd), and Nureen Riyazi (3rd) were declared winners.
The celebration successfully highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment, creativity, and awareness about gender equality, making the event both inspiring and meaningful for the students.
