On 27th February 2026, the Department of Social Work, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, in collaboration with the Social Work Club ‘SAMARTH’ and Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Ltd. (COMFED), organized an academic–industry interaction programme and experiential visit to the Sudha Dairy Plant, Patna, in observance of World NGO Day.The initiative aimed to bridge classroom learning with cooperative dairy industry practices. Students observed milk reception procedures, toured processing units, and learned about technical operations, advanced machinery, and hygiene protocols. They also gained practical insights into marketing, human resource management, demand–supply dynamics, and supply chain operations, actively engaging with officials to relate theory to practice.The programme was coordinated by Dr. Mridul Mishra, Head of the Department of Social Work and Coordinator of ‘SAMARTH’ Social Work Club, Mr. Rupesh Raj, Managing Director of Vaishal Patliputra Dugdh Utpadak Sahkari Sangh Ltd. (Sudha Dairy Plant, Patna), and Mr. Deepak Kumar, General Manager (Assistant), COMFED, and the presence of faculty members Sister Sanjana A.C. and Ms. Amrita Ashish also helped ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the programme.
