A literary program was organized in the Department of Urdu to pay tribute to the great revolutionary poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a nazm .
Dr tahera anjum delivered the opening speech and highlighted the life and literary contributions of Faiz Ahmad Faiz. Faiz’s poetry beautifully combines love, revolution, and humanity, and raises a strong voice against social injustice.
Students actively participated in the program by reciting famous poems and ghazals of Faiz. Performances of sher-o-shayari were held Some students also presented speeches analyzing his poetic style, themes, and revolutionary ideas.
the program concluded with the head of the department Dr Reyaz Ahamad reciting a nazm of faiz ahmad faiz.Faiz Ahmad Faiz’s poetry continues to inspire the younger generation.
