An exclusive solo theatre performance titled “Maa Mujhe Tagore Bana De”

The Department of English in collaboration with the Dakhal Theatre Society, successfully organised an exclusive solo theatre performance titled “Maa Mujhe Tagore Bana De” which witnessed the enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members alike.

The performance was presented by renowned theatre artist Mr. Lucky Gupta, who served as the resource person for the event. Known for his powerful stage presence and expressive storytelling, Mr. Gupta delivered a compelling and thought-provoking performance that captivated the audience. Through the medium of solo theatre, the play explored themes of creativity, aspiration, and the influence of great literary figures, particularly Rabindranath Tagore, while reflecting on the relationship between artistic ambition and societal expectations.

The event provided students with a unique opportunity to experience the nuances of theatrical expression and the art of solo performance. Mr. Gupta’s engaging narration, emotive acting, and dynamic portrayal of characters created a profound impact on the audience and offered valuable insights into the world of theatre.

The entire event was coordinated by Ms. Anisha Singh, Coordinator, Dakhal Theatre Society and was graciously moderated by Soumya Vartika, Joint General Secretary, Student Council 2025-2026.
