NSS – State-level World Health Day programme

On 7 April 2026, the NSS Unit of Patna Women’s College participated in a state-level World Health Day programme organized by the Bihar State AIDS Control Society in collaboration with B.D
College,Patna. The event was held at Bapu Tower, Patna, commencing at 10:00 AM, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from various colleges affiliated with Patna University and Patliputra University.
The programme began with a formal inauguration, followed by a series of competitions aligned with the theme “Together for Health, Stand with Science.” The event aimed to spread awareness about health issues, particularly HIV/AIDS, while encouraging youth engagement through creative and intellectual platforms such as Exhibition, Extempore Speech, and Stage Drama.
NSS volunteers from Patna Women’s College actively participated in all segments with great enthusiasm and dedication. The highlight of the event was the Stage Drama competition, where the team delivered a powerful and thought-provoking performance, effectively conveying social awareness and scientific understanding related to health.
The Stage Drama team, comprising Tanishka Kashyap (Chemistry, Reg. No. 24PWC00146), Mushkan Sharma (Mass Communication, Reg. No. 24PWC01652), Khushboo Kumari (English, Reg. No. 24PWC00536), Shalini Kumari (Economics, Reg. No. 24PWC00456), Shreya Shukla (Chemistry, Reg. No. 24PWC00143), Rafiya Jamal (Microbiology, Reg. No. 24PWC01752), Shreya Krishna (Microbiology, Reg. No. 24PWC01763), Vaishnavi (Physics, Reg. No. 24PWC00292), Pranshu Priya (Geography, Reg. No. 25PWC00402), and Sneha Datta (English, Reg. No. 24PWC00571), secured the 1st position , bringing great pride to the institution.
In addition to this achievement, Ayushi Arya from the department of Political Science, earned 2nd position in the Extempore Speech competition , further highlighting the college’s excellence.
The programme concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were recognized for their outstanding performances. The event proved to be an enriching experience, enhancing students’ awareness, confidence, teamwork, and commitment towards social responsibility and public health issues.
