Human chain on the occasion of Human Rights Day

The Department of Political Science, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), organised a human chain on the occasion of Human Rights Day on 10th December, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am to spread awareness on the importance of dignity, equality and fundamental rights for all individuals irrespective of any differences. Faculty members and students from Department of Political Science and Sociology participated actively, holding posters and placards highlighting themes of justice, liberty, equality and human dignity.

The human chain served as a symbolic reminder of global human rights challenges and the collective responsibility to uphold them. The event took place outside the college gate with enthusiastic participation from students across UG and PG programmes.

Following the human chain, an interactive session was organised at B.J. Sullivan Hall on the topic “Role of Judiciary in Safeguarding Human Rights in India”, addressed by Advocate Kumar Harshvardhan, Patna High Court.
