Report on One-Day Workshop:
“KNOW YOUR RIGHTS” organised under the aegis of PM-USHA by the Department of Political Science.

The Department of Political Science, under the aegis of PM-USHA (Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan), successfully organized a one-day workshop titled “Know Your Rights” on 7th March at B.J. Sullivan Hall, aimed at enhancing legal awareness and civic consciousness among students.
The workshop was graced by distinguished resource persons: Prof. R.K. Verma and Prof. S.P. Singh, Deans, Chanakya National Law University (CNLU). Their expert insights added significant academic depth and practical relevance to the session.
Prof. R.K. Verma, Secretary, IIPA Bihar Branch, emphasized the importance of constitutional literacy and highlighted the role of citizens in upholding democratic values.
Prof. S.P. Singh delivered an insightful lecture on contemporary legal rights with a focus on gender justice, legal remedies and access to justice.
The workshop witnessed active participation from students, who engaged enthusiastically in discussions and raised pertinent questions. The interactive nature of the session fostered critical thinking and a deeper understanding of rights and responsibilities.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the valuable contributions of the speakers and the support of PM-USHA in facilitating such academic initiatives.
