The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, in collaboration with the NCC Unit of Patna Women’s College, organized a Poetry Recitation Competition on 22/04/2026 to create awareness about climate change and global environmental challenges via Online mode . The programme aimed to sensitize students towards environmental conservation and inspire them to adopt sustainable practices in daily life, in keeping with the NSS spirit of social responsibility and service.
A total of 22 students participated enthusiastically in the event and presented self-composed poems highlighting the significance of nature, the urgency to protect Mother Earth, and the collective responsibility of youth in promoting environmental sustainability.l
The competition was judged by Dr. Sushma, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi, and Dr. Baby Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, who appreciated the creativity and environmental consciousness reflected in the participants’ presentations.
Among the winners, Khushi Raj from NSS secured the First Prize , Sreshtha Narayan from NCC won the Second Prize , and Khushboo Kumari from NSS bagged the Third Prize .
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment by NSS volunteers and students to work towards environmental protection and uphold the values of sustainability and social service.
