As part of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, the Department of Political Science in collaboration with the D.N.S. Regional Institute of Cooperative Management, Patna under the Ministry of Co-operation, Government of India, organised a one-day awareness programme on 2nd July 2025 to mark the ‘Cooperative Week’ being observed from 1st July 2025 to 7th July 2025. The United Nations declared 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives. Cantered around the theme “Cooperatives build a better World,” the event aimed to highlight the significance of cooperative movements among youth and raise awareness about their role in building inclusive and sustainable societies.
The session began with a welcome address followed by an engaging talk by the Director of the Institute, Dr. K. P. Ranjan who shared valuable insights on co-operative functioning, governance, and impact. Students and faculty members participated enthusiastically making the event a collaborative and informative experience. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks acknowledging the efforts of all those involved in making the event a success.
