The Department of Political Science, Patna Women’s College, organized a programme to commemorate the 79th Independence Day on the theme “Unity in Diversity – India’s Uniqueness.” The event commenced with the patriotic song “Apni Maati,” followed by a welcome address from Dr. Vinita Priyadarshi, Head, Department of Political Science. The celebration continued with another patriotic song, “Har Kadam Vatan Mere Naaz Hai Tera,” which stirred a sense of national pride among the audience. A special highlight was the stage play “Batakh Miya” presented by IPTA, delivering a powerful message on social harmony and patriotism. Shri Tanveer Akhtar, Secretary, IPTA, Patna, was felicitated for his contribution to the event. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Adweetiya Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science.
