TECHNICAL TALK ON BUILDING CAREER IN AI

PARTICIPANTS: AIML AND DATA SCIENCE AND ANALYTICS SEMESTER I AND SEMESTER III           (TOTAL: 80 STUDENTS)

Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Patna Women’s College organized a technical talk on “Building a Career in Al” on 2nd July at 10:00 am in the MVEIC hall. The event began with a welcome address by Mrs. Poonam Abraham Lakra, Head, Department of Artificial Intelligence, who warmly welcomed the resource person by presenting her with a plant sapling.

The lecture was delivered by Ms. Varidhi D’Cruz, an Al and Tech Communication Specialist at APCO Worldwide, Los Angeles. The session was designed to cut through the buzz and provide a grounded, practical understanding of what it means to build a career in Al today and, more importantly, in the near future. Ms. D’Cruz explained the concepts of Software 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0, and shared valuable insights on how to give effective prompts and how one can improve in prompt engineering. She emphasized the importance of staying in the continuous flow of technological evolution. She also discussed emerging career paths in Al such as becoming a Responsible Al Writer, Product Manager for Al Tools, LLM Prompt Engineer, and Generative Al UX Researcher. She shared a roadmap to fetch a job in a worldwide forum.

She concluded the session with an inspiring message: “Be around smart people, follow smart people, read smart people.”

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 80 students of Semester I and Semester III of AIML and Data Science and Analytics. It was graced by the presence of Mrs. Poonam Abraham Lakra, Head, Department of Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Priyadarshni, Head, Department of Data Science and Analytics, Mrs. Hera Shaheen and Dr. Deepa Sonal, Assistant Professors of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Mrs. Shahli Tabassum, Assistant Professor of Data Science and Analytics. The energy and creativity throughout the session were truly commendable and reflected the keen interest of the students in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.
