On the occasion of International Day of Biological Diversity, the Vigyan Club, Patna Women’s College, (Autonomous) organized an online Quiz competition on the topic, “Global Environmental Issues: Awareness and Biodiversity Protection” on 22nd May 2026 at *2:30 PM, through Zoom.
The main objective of the competition was to create awareness among students about environmental challenges, biodiversity conservation, and the importance of protecting nature for future generations.
The members of the club enthusiastically took part in the competition. The quiz consisted of 20 questions related to global environmental issues, climate change, pollution, wildlife conservation, sustainable development, and biodiversity protection. The online mode of conduct made the event interactive and convenient for all participants.
They showed great interest and awareness during the competition. Their active involvement reflected their concern for environmental protection and scientific awareness.
The winners were,

- 2nd Position: Aditi Bhardwaj
- 3rd Position: Kumari Shreya Singh
The event was conducted under the guidance of the Club Coordinators, Dr. Kavita Verma, Head, Department of Physics and Dr. Urvashi Sinha, Assistant Professor Department of Botany. The event was efficiently moderated by Muskan Kumari and Kumari Sneha Singh. The program concluded successfully with words of encouragement and appreciation for all participants. The event proved to be informative, engaging, and successful in spreading awareness about environmental conservation and biodiversity protection.
