The Department of English Communication and Media, Patna Women’s College, celebrated its Departmental Freshers’ Day with great enthusiasm and warmth on 21st July, 2026. The event welcomed the newly admitted students and provided them with an opportunity to bond with their seniors and faculty members in a lively and cheerful atmosphere.
The programme began with the felicitation of the esteemed judges, Dr. Vinita Priyadarshi, Head, Department of Political Science, and Ms. Komal Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, with beautifully handcrafted bouquets prepared by the students. This was followed by an entertaining skit, after which the audience enjoyed two duet dances, a solo song, and a solo dance. The celebration concluded with an energetic group dance and a melodious group choir performance, which received immense appreciation from everyone present.
A special moment of the programme was the announcement of Ms. Abda Ibrahim as Miss Freshers 2026. The programme was held in the presence of Dr. Tauseef Hassan, Head, Department of English Communication and Media, along with Dr. Runa and the faculty members Mr. Frank Krishner, Mr. Amitabh Ranjan, and Mr. Prashant Ravi, whose presence and encouragement contributed to the success of the celebration.
