The Department of Commerce- Taxation & Auditing warmly welcomed its new batch of students by organizing Freshers’ Day 2026, themed “Retro Beats – Fresh Feats” on 22nd July 2026. The event was a vibrant celebration of talent, enthusiasm, and togetherness, bringing alive the timeless charm of the retro era. Esteemed judges for the event were Dr. Manjula Sushila, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi and Ms. Manisha Prasad, Head, Department of Computer Applications.
The programme commenced on a soulful note with a Welcome Song, setting a warm and festive atmosphere for the occasion. Performances included Bollywood songs, a graceful Bollywood Classic dance, a Freestyle dance and a spectacular Grand Finale creating unforgettable memories for the freshers.
The programme was seamlessly moderated by Ms. Anjali Gupta and Ms. Prachi Pragya, students of Semester-I of B. Com (Taxation & Auditing). Ms. Bhavya Singh was crowned as “Miss Fresher 2026- Taxation & Auditing”
The entire programme was conducted under the guidance of CS Shweta Shah, Head, Department of Commerce- Taxation & Auditing, and was coordinated by Mrs. Mona Kumari, Assistant Professor, whose dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Soofia Fatima, Ms. Sohini Priya, Mrs. Puja Singh, and Mrs. Nikki Kumari.
