On August 21st, 2026 Department of Physics, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, started with the 2nd day of COSMOS QUEST 3.0 on the occasion of National Space Day, from 19th–22nd August 2026. The theme of the event was “India’s Space Journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.”
The Inaugural Programme began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a Prayer Dance and Welcome Song. Dr. Kavita Verma, Head, Department of Physics highlighted about the event and shared a presentation on the Landing of Chandrayaan.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College. The Chief Guest, Major General Jitendra Singh, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding, Jharkhand and Bihar Sub-Area, delivered a motivating and inspiring lecture, encouraging students to dream big, remain dedicated, and contribute towards the nation’s progress.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Amrita, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics and Organizing Secretary, followed by the National Anthem.
The event was organized by event Dr. Kavita Verma, Head, Department of Physics. All the Faculty members were present in the inaugural ceremony.
