The Department of Commerce – Taxation & Auditing organised a Mock Annual General Meeting (AGM) Competition on the theme “Beyond the Balance Sheet: Leading Corporate Decisions” for the students of Semester V, B. Com (Hons.) Commerce Professional on 22nd August 2026. The Program started with felicitation of the judges CA Chirantan Bhattacharya and CS Kritika Anand Tiwary by CS Shweta Shah, Head, Department of Commerce – Taxation & Auditing & Ms. Mona Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce – Taxation & Auditing respectively. The competition provided students with an experiential platform to simulate the proceedings of an Annual General Meeting. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, who showcased their communication skills, leadership abilities, teamwork, analytical thinking and understanding of corporate procedures. After a keenly contested competition, Suhani and Group secured the First Position, followed by Ankita and Group securing the Second Position, while Monalisa and Group secured the Third Position. The programme was well coordinated under the guidance of CS Shweta Shah, Head, Department of Commerce – Taxation & Auditing. The programme was well moderated by Suhani Kumari and Arushi, and Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ankita Raj of Semester III, B.Com (Hons.) Commerce Professional.
