The NSS Unit of Patna Women’s College actively participated in the centralized Independence Day celebration organized at Patna Science College Campus, Patna, on 15 August 2026 under the auspices of Patna University. A total of 12 NSS volunteers participated enthusiastically in the NSS march past/parade, showcasing discipline, patriotism, unity, and a strong spirit of service.

The programme commenced with the arrival of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Ajay Kumar Singh, and Hon’ble Registrar, Shalini Singh of Patna University and invited guests for the flag-hoisting ceremony. The National Flag was hoisted at 9:00 AM, followed by the National Anthem, creating a profound atmosphere of national pride, unity, and patriotism among the participants and attendees.

The occasion was further dignified by the presence of Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, and Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Vice-Principal, Patna Women’s College, along with university officials, faculty members, and other distinguished guests. Their presence and encouragement served as a source of motivation for the NSS volunteers.

As an integral part of the scheduled programme, the NSS volunteers of Patna Women’s College participated in the disciplined march past/parade in proper NSS attire, proudly displaying their NSS badges and sashes. Their coordinated march and disciplined conduct reflected the core values of NSS—commitment, responsibility, teamwork, and service to the nation.
The celebration concluded on a patriotic note, leaving the NSS volunteers inspired to uphold the ideals of unity, discipline, social responsibility, and nation-building.
