Event: Independence Day Competition

The Department of Fashion Designing, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, in collaboration with Srijan Club (Art and Craft Club), successfully organised an Independence Day Competition on 13 August 2026.
The competition featured Headwear Designing for 1st-year students, T-shirt Painting for 2nd-year students, and Stole Painting for 3rd-year students. The event provided students with a creative platform to express their patriotism through art, fashion and design. Around 60 Srijan Club members participated enthusiastically, showcasing their love for the nation through colours and creativity.
The entries were judged by Dr. Priyadarshini, Head, Department of Data Science and Analysis, and Dr. Dipika Tiwari, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Patna Women’s College. The judges appreciated the participants’ creativity, originality and presentation.

The event was organised under the supervision of Dr. Shemushi Madhu, Head, Department of Fashion Designing, and Dr. Geetanjali Choudhary, Coordinator, Department of Fashion Designing, and was supported by Ms. Asha Pandey , Ms.Priyanka Singh , Ms.Vandana Sinha . Each faculty member encouraged the participants throughout the competition.
The event concluded on a vibrant and patriotic note, celebrating creativity, unity and love for the nation through the language of colours and art.
