Reels of Pride Independence Day 2026 Challenge

The Department of Data Science and Analytics organized “Reels of Pride – Independence Day 2026 Challenge” to celebrate the spirit of Independence Day under the guidance of Dr. Priyadarshini, Head, Department of Data Science and Analytics.The initiative invited students from various departments to showcase their creativity, patriotism, and vision for India through reels. Participants impressed with both creative and technical skills, presenting thoughtful and engaging content.

The event commenced with  prayer song followed by welcoming the juddges Ms Amrita Prakash, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications(BCA) and Ms Meenakshi Mishra, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography.  Participants were then briefed about the rules and guidelines of the competition. A total of 15 participants took part in the competition.  The participants presented their reels based on the inspiring themes of the competition, including My Vision for Viksit Bharat, Unsung Heroes of Freedom, Mission LIFE in Action, and The Spirit of Unity.

From tributes to Veer Kunwar Singh, Usha Mehta, and Bhagat Singh, to messages on “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” and Viksit Bharat, participants blended creativity with technical skill—using storytelling, visuals, and editing to inspire a cleaner, greener, and stronger India.

The entries were assessed on the basis of their creativity, originality, storytelling, relevance to the theme, presentation, and overall impact.

The results were announced following the evaluation of the entries.

Komal Gupta, Sem 1 from BCA department and Saniya Anand, Sem 1 from Psychology department jointly secured the First Position.

Sejal Sambhawi, Sem 1 from Zoology department secured the Second Position, and Astha Kumari, Sem 1 from BCA department  secured the Third Position.

The winners received Certificates from the judges.

The judges’ feedback encouraged participants to focus on original content, effective storytelling, voiceovers, editing, and innovative presentation techniques.

The Vote of Thanks, was delivered by the Ms. Charu Mudgal. 

The entire event was very well coordinated by Aqsa Shamshir Khan and Srishti Kumari.
