Patna Women’s College celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit on 29 August 2026. The programme was organised under the guidance of Dr. Manjula Sushila, Sports Coordinator, and Mrs. Quazi Bushra Ahmed, Sports teacher.
The programme commenced with the symbolic release of two pigeons, representing freedom, peace, energy, and the spirit of sportsmanship. The pigeons were released by Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, and Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Vice Principal, Patna Women’s College.
The celebration further continued with an energetic aerobics session for the students and teachers, set to a lively Brazilian track.
To make the celebration more engaging, fun and recreational games were organised exclusively for the teaching faculty. The teachers enthusiastically participated in Tug of War ,passing the chair and the Chain Game, which encouraged teamwork, coordination, and healthy competition. The games added an element of joy and excitement to the celebration and provided the faculty members with an opportunity to actively participate in the National Sports Day.
The programme concluded on a cheerful note with the inspiring message, “Fitness ki Dose, Ek Ghante Roz.” The celebration successfully highlighted the significance of fitness, teamwork, discipline, coordination, and a healthy and active lifestyle, while bringing students and faculty members together in the true spirit of sportsmanship.
