A two-day workshop on Research Methodology was successfully conducted by Ecospectrum, an economic forum under the Department of Economics. Our Resource Person, Mr. Chaitanya Keshav, Executive Assistant Manager at Colour Basket, encouraged students to think like economists. The workshop was attended by 105 students and focused on providing participants with a practical understanding of academic research. It covered formulating research questions, finalising research titles, conducting an effective literature review, preparing research proposals, and designing appropriate methodologies. Students were also introduced to research-management tools such as Gantt charts, spreadsheets, and calendars. A real research paper was discussed to demonstrate good research-writing practices and common mistakes to avoid. Overall, the workshop helped students understand how to systematically plan, conduct, and present a research project.
