The Health Centre, Department of Home Science, Patna Women’s College, in collaboration with Central Dispensary, Patna University jointly organized a Health Camp on 16.09. 2026. The Health Camp offered various medical services to the students, teachers and support staffs. Two doctors of the Patna University, Dr. Khurshid Alam (Orthopaedics), Medical Officer, Central Dispensary, Patna University and Dr. Richa Sinha (Lady Medical Officer) were present.
Approximately 187 students, 36 teaching staff and 30 support staff came for health check-up. The check-ups included general physical examination, Bone Mineral Density (B.M.D.) examination along with counselling and guidance from all the doctors. Dr. Khurshid Alam suggested various exercises and medicines to improve and maintain healthy bones. He explained that healthy bones require proper nutrition, regular physical activity and adequate Calcium and Vitamin D. Dr. Richa Sinha, Gynaecologist, also counselled and guided students and had given suggestions regarding adolescent’s and women’s health.
The health camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College and Dr. Shazia Husain, Head, Department of Home Science and conducted by Dr. Sarita Srivastava, Health Centre In- Charge, Assistant Professor, Department of Home Science.
