An educational and creative event on Mini Garden, Terrarium and Hydroponic Gardening was organized by The Department of Botany in collaboration with Leaf & Life club and Vigyan club on 24.09.2026 at Room no. 306. It was an Exhibition cum Competition based on the theme “From Glass Jar to Garden Design: The Science and Art of Growing Green”. Exhibition was inaugurated by the Judges Mrs. Geetanjali Choudhary and Mrs. Meenakshi Misra. It was organized to promote awareness about sustainable gardening, plant care and innovative methods of growing plants in limited spaces. The event provided participants with an opportunity to learn about different techniques of growing and maintaining plants while also encouraging creativity and environmental responsibility. 1st and 3rd Semesters Students of Botany and Add on Certificate & Diploma course of Horticulture and Landscape Gardening actively participated and showed great enthusiasm in developing mini- Gardens, Terrarium as well as Hydroponic/soilless gardens. Total 21 Mini-Gardens were displayed by 45 students. First position was secured by Garden having tag-line as “The Geo-sphere Garden, The Secret Grove” prepared by Kajal Kumari and Muskan Bharti of Geography Department. Second prize was awarded to Nandini Kumari, Jyotshana Jha and Ujala Gupta of Botany Department. There was a tie for third position between code 01 and 09, the winners were Shambhavi Jha, Nandini Singh of Geography Department and Sneha Kumari of Botany Department. The event was meticulously planned and exhibited by Dr. Anjana Verma of Botany Department. Overall, the event successfully combined science, creativity and environmental sustainability and provided with useful practical knowledge that can be applied at home, in college or in community garden.
