A Hands-on Training on the theme “Spectrophotometric Analysis”

A Hands-on Training on the theme “Spectrophotometric Analysis” was organized by the Department of Microbiology, Patna Women’s College on 5.8.2025 and 6.8.2025.
The training was conducted to provide students with practical exposure to spectrometric techniques and their analytical applications. Participants were trained in the operation of spectrophotometer and were familiarized with procedures such as data interpretation, wavelength calibration, and absorbance measurement. The importance of spectrometric methods in various scientific fields such as microbiology, biochemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences was highlighted throughout the training.The facilitator of the training was Dr. Swetnisha, Assistant professor, Department of Microbiology. The training program was organized under the supervision of Dr. Jaya Philip, Head, Department of Microbiology. This initiative was taken as a part of the department’s ongoing efforts to enhance laboratory proficiency and strengthen the practical skills of the students. An environment of experiential learning was fostered, and active participation was observed.
