An Online Short-Term Course on “Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analysis

The Department of Geography, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna, concluded an Online Short-Term Course on “Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analysis” (of 30 teaching hours) on 13.03.2026. The course was conducted as a collaborative academic initiative between Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) and Lady Doak College, Madurai. The programme was organised under the supervision of Dr. Amrita Chowdhury, Head, Department of Geography, and Mr. Alok John, Dean, National, International Collaborations & Consultancy Services, Patna Women’s College.
The course was designed for the students of M.Sc. Physics and B.Sc. Computer Science of Lady Doak College, Madurai, with the objective of introducing them to the principles, techniques, and applications of remote sensing and Geospatial Analysis. Ms. Meenakshi Mishra, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, Patna Women’s College, served as the Coordinator. She played a key role in designing the course structure and delivering lectures. Dr. Sanwita Shaiwalini, Assistant Professors in the Department of Geography, Patna Women’s College and Dr. Aishwarya Raj, Assistant Professors in the Department of Geography, Patna Women’s College, contributed as Resource Persons.
