Anti-Ragging Week Observance

Event: Observing Anti-Ragging Week

Participants: BA I and MA I students

Patna Women’s College observed Anti-Ragging Week from 12th to 18th August 2025 aimed at spreading awareness among students about the harmful effects of ragging and promoting a safe, inclusive campus environment.

The observance began on 12th August 2025 with screening of a documentary movie and for the students of BA I and MA I and Anti-Ragging Orientation Workshop for the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff. The department under the observance organised Slogan and poster making competition on Anti-Ragging on 13th August 2025. An Essay Writing Competition on the topic, “Ragging and its impact on Mental Health” was also organised by the Department in room 402 of Science Block in which 20 students participated. On 14th August all the students of BA I and MA I filled the Anti-Ragging Affidavit forms and pledged not to be involved in any form of ragging. On 18th August the students attended a Seminar on Anti-Ragging organised by the Department of Education.

Thus, the Anti-Ragging week successfully engaged students in meaningful activities and reinforced the college’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging.
